Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Project Manager to lead the execution of utility-scale and/or commercial & industrial (C&I) solar power projects. The ideal candidate will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of solar projects from pre-construction through commissioning, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met while adhering to all regulatory and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Development

Lead the end-to-end project lifecycle including design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover. Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and resource plans. Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, procurement, O&M, legal, etc.) and external stakeholders (consultants, EPCs, DISCOMs, etc.).

2. Site & Execution Management

Oversee site preparation, construction activities, and ensure proper installation practices. Manage EPC contractors and subcontractors; ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and resolve execution challenges.

3. Regulatory & Compliance

Ensure all permits, approvals, and grid interconnection agreements are in place. Liaise with government bodies, DISCOMs, and nodal agencies (MNRE, SECI, SERCs, etc.).

4. Procurement & Vendor Management

Coordinate procurement of critical equipment (modules, inverters, structures, SCADA, etc.). Evaluate and onboard vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships.

5. Budget & Cost Control

Monitor project budgets; track and report variances. Implement cost-saving measures without compromising on quality and timelines.

6. Reporting & Documentation

Provide regular project updates to senior management and stakeholders. Maintain complete documentation for audits, quality control, and post-project evaluation.

Key Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering (Master's degree or MBA is a plus). PMP Certification or similar credentials (preferred).

Experience:

7-12 years of experience in project management, with at least 3-5 years in renewable energy (solar) projects. Proven experience managing solar PV projects (Rooftop, Ground-Mounted, Utility-Scale).

Skills:

Strong knowledge of solar plant engineering, procurement, and construction practices. Proficient in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, etc.). Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities. Familiarity with Indian renewable energy regulations and guidelines.
