Role Overview


The Operations Manager is responsible for end-to-end management of manpower operations including workforce deployment, client servicing, statutory compliance, payroll coordination, productivity tracking, and stakeholder management to ensure seamless service delivery and contractual adherence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manpower Operations & Deployment

Manage end-to-end manpower operations across assigned client locations. Ensure timely mobilization, deployment, and replacement of manpower as per client requirements. Monitor attendance, shift scheduling (including night shifts), and productivity. Address workforce issues such as absenteeism, attrition, discipline, and grievances.

2. Client Relationship Management

Act as the single point of contact for client operational matters. Conduct regular client meetings to review service levels, compliance, and performance. Ensure adherence to SLAs, commercial terms, and contract conditions. Handle escalations related to manpower, billing, or compliance professionally.

3. Compliance & Statutory Adherence

Knowledge of compliance - Apprenticeship Program(NAPS/NATS) Coordinate monthly compliance check with Compliance Dept. Maintain accurate documentation and records for compliance and audits.

4. Payroll & Commercial Coordination

Coordinate with payroll teams for accurate wage processing and timely disbursement. Validate attendance, overtime, incentives, allowances, and deductions. Ensure correct billing to clients as per approved commercials. Support finance teams in reconciliation and collections follow-ups.

5. Team Management

Lead and manage site supervisors, coordinators, and field executives. Conduct regular reviews, training, and performance monitoring of the team. Ensure daily reporting, MIS, and operational dashboards are maintained.

6. Reporting & MIS

Prepare and share daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports on: Headcount Attrition Attendance P & L Analyze operational data to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of manpower/staffing operations In-depth understanding of compliance Excellent client handling and communication skills Leadership and people management capability Problem-solving and escalation management Proficiency in MIS, Excel, and HRMS/CRM systems

Qualifications & Experience

Graduate / Postgraduate (HR, Operations, or related field preferred) 7-12 years of experience in manpower / staffing / contract labor operations Prior experience handling large headcount and multiple client locations
