General Mills seeks an attorney to provide contract legal support to its Supply Chain, Corporate Sourcing, and Marketing Sourcing function. This role will focus on drafting and editing myriad contracts supporting the foregoing functions, including agreements relating to ingredients, packaging, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, engineering, equipment, technology, services, and construction. This attorney will also support broader efforts to improve General Mills\xe2\x80\x99 vendor engagement process.

This attorney will partner closely with U.S.-based attorneys to translate strategic business objectives into legal contracts, and achieve results while appropriately managing risk, both with respect to contracts and more general business objectives. This attorney will be a member of the General Mills Law Department\xe2\x80\x99s \xe2\x80\x9cContracts Center of Excellence\xe2\x80\x9d (which is responsible for providing the department and its clients globally with tools and processes for contracting).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 8-10 years of experience as an attorney working in a sophisticated transactional legal practice
• Excellent judgment; strong strategic, creative, and analytical thinking; business acumen; and the ability to prioritize and work autonomously on multiple projects at the same time
• Highly focused on continual learning and development
• Significant expertise drafting and negotiating contracts, including redlining documents within Microsoft Word
• Excellent English oral and written communications skills
• Team orientation that demonstrates flexibility in role
• Ability to earn the trust of (and influence the decisions of) a wide array of smart, sophisticated colleagues at all levels of the organization
• Flexibility to support clients in numerous time zones, including Europe and the United States
