Role Purpose:

Vodafone continues to invest in Cyber Security to mitigate its Cyber Risk. _VOIS is the Global Capability Center (GCC) of Vodafone in India which provides various services to its entities in various countries across the globe. _VOIS has offices in Pune, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad.
Within _VOIS, Cyber Security comprises of ~300+ cyber security professionals. We are continuously looking for industry\'s top talent in Cyber Security to further grow the service line to further solidify our position of being the largest Cyber GCC in India.
Within our Cyber Security team, we are broadly organised into two teams - Cyber Prevent and Cyber Defense. The Cyber Prevent team focusses on mitigation of Cyber Risk by focussing on prevention of cyber incidents. The Cyber Defense team focusses on mitigation of Cyber Risk by focussing on defending against cyber incidents.
The Cyber Prevent team is sub-organised into domains namely - Network Security, Endpoint Security, Information Protection, and Identity and Access Management. In addition, the First Line Security Operations (FLSO) team operates as a cross-domain. The Cyber Defense team is sub-organised into Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC), Cyber Defense Incident Management (CDIM), and Security Testing (vulnerability management, penetration testing).
We are looking for Cyber Security Engineer to be part of Secure by Design team.

Accountabilities, Competencies, and KPIs

Accountabilities

• Understands business and technical requirements of a given project and provides security requirements
• Analyses design and provides articulate solutions to ensure compliance of design with Vodafone security policy, controls and best practice ensuring that the business requirements continue to be met whilst reducing and documenting risk
• Security consultants must have in-depth knowledge of telecoms networks and IP
• networks and/or IT infrastructures and applications as well as security technologies, standards, regulations and methodologies for both \xe2\x80\xa2 In-depth understanding of firewalls, routing, zoning concepts (segregation of networks)
• Manage stakeholder expectations, including communication across Vodafone global entities

• Operational demand vs capacity at optimal level (scheduled and resourced) in order meet business demands, projects and risk reduction activities.

Qualifications:

• 7 - 10 years of IT experience with extensive experience in Perimeter Security but not limited to Firewall, VPN, Proxy, Network Engineering/ Management
• Good understanding of Information Security Risk Assessment (Cloud Security and Data Centre Security and Application Security)
• Good understanding of OWASP "Security by Design\xe2\x80\x9d.
• Understanding of security controls and their role in an organisation.

Candidates will have an edge over qualifying against other candidates if they have following:

• Knowledge of Information Security Assurance (NIST SP 800-37, COBIT 5)
• Knowledge of Data Privacy / Information Protection/ GDPR
• Worked for a Telco either as directly employed or as industry experience
