Role Summary-
The ideal candidate will lead and oversee transaction execution across equity, debt, and M&A mandates, managing a team of analysts and associates to deliver high-quality financial solutions for clients. The role involves driving end-to-end deal processes--from origination and financial modelling to due diligence, negotiation, and closing--while serving as a key client contact throughout the transaction lifecycle. The individual will contribute to strategic decision-making, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, mentor junior team members, and support business development efforts to expand the firm's investment banking portfolio.
Key Responsibilities-
Lead and manage a team of investment banking professionals (analysts and associates) to ensure timely and successful execution of transactions.
Oversee the complete deal lifecycle, including origination, financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, and closing.
Work closely with senior leadership to design and implement transaction strategies aligned with client objectives.
Conduct and review in-depth financial analysis, valuation models, feasibility studies, and industry research to support deal structuring and pricing.
Manage client relationships and act as the primary point of contact, ensuring transparent communication and proactive issue resolution.
Supervise due diligence across legal, financial, technical, and operational aspects, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and smooth execution.
Prepare, review, and finalize key transaction documents such as IMs, pitch books, prospectuses, offering memoranda, and definitive agreements.
Monitor market trends, sectoral developments, and regulatory updates to provide strategic insights to clients and internal teams.
Mentor, train, and guide junior team members, fostering their analytical capabilities and professional growth.
Support business development by identifying prospective clients, contributing to pitch presentations, and assisting in proposal preparation.
Qualifications-
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; CA or MBA preferred.
Significant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or related financial services, with a strong track record of executing transactions.
Advanced expertise in financial modelling, valuation methodologies, and financial analysis tools.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
Proven leadership abilities with experience managing and developing teams.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
Strong understanding of financial markets, investment banking processes, and mid-market transaction dynamics.
Proficiency in financial and transaction management software/tools.
