Job Description

Position Purpose:



The

Business Development Manager

will be responsible for driving

revenue growth

within the assigned region by developing new business, nurturing existing customer relationships, and maximizing sales opportunities in

Air and Ocean Freight (Import & Export)

.

This is a results-driven role requiring strong market knowledge, relationship-building skills, and proven sales performance in the logistics and freight forwarding domain.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Business Development & Sales



Generate and grow

International Freight Forwarding (Air & Ocean)

business. Identify, pursue, and convert

new clients and trade lanes

within the assigned territory. Retain and expand existing customer base to achieve consistent revenue targets. Achieve defined sales and profitability goals through proactive planning and execution.

2. Client Relationship Management



Serve as the

main point of contact

for customers, ensuring prompt and effective communication. Coordinate with

Operations, Pricing, and Customer Service

teams to deliver exceptional service quality. Ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty through timely issue resolution and account servicing.

3. Market Planning & CRM



Maintain and update a

sales pipeline

with opportunities, leads, and customer interactions in the CRM system. Develop sales plans and strategies aligned with company objectives. Stay informed on

market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments

.

4. Reporting & Coordination



Submit regular reports on sales performance, revenue targets, and market insights. Collaborate closely with pricing and procurement teams for competitive rate offerings. Ensure smooth transition of new customers to operations and account management teams.

Qualifications & Skills:



Education:

Postgraduate (MBA preferred) in Business, International Trade, or Logistics.

Experience:

Minimum 6 years in

Freight Forwarding Sales / Business Development

. Strong understanding of

Air & Ocean Freight

, trade lanes, and logistics operations. Excellent

communication, negotiation, and presentation

skills. Highly self-motivated and target-oriented. Proficiency in

MS Office

and

CRM systems

. Team player with a proactive and solution-driven mindset.
