Job Description

The position involves working in the field of application engineering of Air insulated medium voltage switchgears panels (VCB panels). Candidates working in primary switchgears like GIS will be an added advantage.The engineer will be involved in design of medium voltage electrical switchboards comprising of circuit drawings, outline drawings of switchboards, single line diagrams, bill of materials, logic preperation in numerical relaysThe job involves reviewing customer specifications, reviewing contract documents, identification of gaps, meetings with customers to resolve the gaps and ensure drawings and bill of materials are prepared in timely manner before the target dates. Collaboration and meetings with inter-department stake holders like project management, tendering, supply chain, planning, procurement, production will be involved to ensure the products are manufactured as per customer specifications, satisfactions and within targetsThe job involves working in ECAD software like E-Plan, AutoCad, SeeXP, E3 for preperation of drawings for customers.The job involves visits to customers for meetings on technical topics related to projects.QualificationsEducational qualifications - Diploma/B.E in Electrical engineering from reputed institutes.Working experience in medium voltage switchgear panels from 5-12 years is preferred.Knowledge of medium voltage circuit breakers, protection relays, meters, current/voltage transformers, low volateg components like switches, push buttons, lamps is essentialKnowledge on drafting architectures of digital systems for SCADA with its protocols like IEC 61850, ethernet switches, patch chords are essentialThe candidate should have sound knowledge on IEC/IS/BS standards of medium voltage switchgears and its correlation with the parameters of type test is neededKnowledge on working in ECAD softwares, SAP, preperation of manufacturing bill of material is essentialThe candidate should be passionate and demonstrate examples related to cost reductions, new developments, validation and testingPossesing digital skills on process improvement, product digitisation (condition monitoring) will be added advantageWorking on segments like Industry (MMM), O&G, Building and commercial segments will be preferredKnowledge on products like GIS, RMU, PSS, Low voltage panels will be an added advantageSchedule: Full-time
