Job Summary:




This position requires in depth knowledge of accounting cycle, general ledger reconciliation, journal entry preparation, daily balancing & reporting. The role requires good knowledge of MS excel & analytical skills.



Key Accountabilities:

Understanding of ERP based accounting & able to process journal entries The job includes reconciling of accounts. Follow-up with account owners for determining action plan & closure of open items Maintain data and records (backups) in accordance with accounting standards & principles Month-end checks and reconciliations, including pricing and price source reconciliations, payables and receivables reconciliations, par reconciliations, fair value classifications and overdrawn balance checks Reconciliation of ad-hoc investment activities such as asset and cash transfers. Input of asset and cash transfers in custody portal. Able to work with & interpret large volumes of data Able to interpret reconciliation balances & flex field combination for the balances Liaising with client relationship managers for the investment accounting system regarding new account setup, data and pricing issues, reconciliation issues and other operational matters Building SOP & Process map preparation skills within team to have strong documentation Ensure the quality of the transactions is following predefined parameters Focus on Customer Satisfaction, rapport building, effective communication, and timely resolution of Customer concerns To create an internal environment where client is the focus of the business through appropriate communication, recognition and rewards Encourages & demonstrates respect for others in a team and inculcate the same culture across the team members To keep oneself abreast of all the updates applicable to policies/regulations/compliances applicable to the function/organizational and client To create systems and checks for internal compliance policies and guidelines and ensures maintenance of clear and precise records per the requirements. Review compliance adherence on a regular basis.


Qualification & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or MBA Finance or CA Preferred qualified accountant with 8-10 years of experience Preferred Insurance accounting experience Good analytical skills Profound knowledge of complete Financial reporting process Good accounting skills Excellent problem solving & analytical skills Act as liaison between team members and management & bring issues/concerns to management Any certification in insurance/LOMA, etc. preferred Senior level leadership with broad program expertise Implementation of complex service or technology environments, or deep process expertise in a complex process area. Strong experience in people management


Technical Skills -

Good computer navigation & keyboard skills Good hands-on knowledge of MS Excel and MS applications Experience in ERP


Soft Skills -

Client Relationship Management - Handling client issues/queries Result oriented Adaptability to change Ability to work on routine/standardized processes Problem solving skills
