Basic Function -Preparing & review of Monthly and Quarterly Syndicate reports like Terrorism, Cargo, Political Risk, Liability, War on Land, Property, and other ad-hoc reports for Lloyds Submission Expert knowledge on Syndicate accounting and three underwriting years, Reinsurance to Close (RITC) /Estimated Future liability (EFL) Getting Daily Lloyds Centralize Accounts recording into ERP & reconciliations Book & Review Solvency II adjustments like Goodwill and DAC Write off, Re class etc. Manage the period - end close cycle - Month-end/Quarter-end/Annual for local books of various Syndicates and Insurance companies

Essential Functions

Require expert knowledge and ability to manage month close accounting journals, review reconciliations and financial statements and UK market and Lloyds related reports, Financial Syndicate Reporting - QMA, QMB, SBF Assist partners or client on Calculation of MCR, SCR & best estimates for the purpose of Solvency II reporting requirements Technical Insurance accounting experience in Premium, Losses, DAC reserves Booking, IBNR true up etc. and Bordeaux settlements and UK GAAP or IFRS knowledge mandatory. Require strong understanding of Lloyds market operations and regulatory requirements. 3 years accounting system, RITC concepts

Primary Internal Interactions

AVP for the purpose of reporting performance, escalation handling, clarifying concerns, and seeking feedback and support AVP for the purpose of settling issues left unresolved by the AVP and monthly evaluation of performance Peers (team members) for the purpose of seeking co-operation & clarification on process-related matters & aiding and support when required

Primary External Interactions

Onshore Team Manager and SMEs for daily planning of work and execution of deliverables Must demonstrate effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills

Strong time management and team management and other organization skills

Technical Skills

Chartered Accountant, CPA, CFA or equivalent with 6 - 8 years' experience in US UK GAAP / IFRS accounting experience B. Com with strong practical experience in accounting and reporting for more than 10-12 years IFRS 17 knowledge is an add on

Process Specific Skills



Good understanding of Syndicate and PMA operations for Lloyd's market Good knowledge in Insurance and Reinsurance Domain: Claims and Underwriting/Pre & Post Bound Operations Should have expert level understanding of GAAP accounting principles and procedures. Requires the knowledge and ability to review Journals, reconciliations provide solutions to technical accounting issues and organize projects Insurance accounting regulatory reporting experience or US GAAP/IFRS 17 knowledge mandatory.

Education Requirements
