Job Description

The Factory Manager will oversee the daily operations of a furniture manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient production, high-quality output, workplace safety, and cost-effective processes. The role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge of furniture production, and the ability to manage teams, machinery, materials, and workflow. Key Responsibilities 1. Production Management Plan, organize, and oversee the entire production process to meet daily, weekly, and monthly output targets. Implement production schedules, allocate resources, and ensure on-time delivery. Monitor workflow and adjust manpower, material flow, or processes to avoid bottlenecks. 2. Quality Control Ensure products meet required quality standards and customer specifications. Work closely with QC teams to analyze defects, reduce errors, and implement corrective actions. Maintain quality documentation and compliance with industry standards. 3. Team Leadership & Workforce Management Supervise and motivate production supervisors, machine operators, carpenters, upholsterers, and other staff. Conduct performance evaluations, training, and skill development programs. Maintain discipline and a safe, collaborative work environment. 4. Machinery & Maintenance Ensure proper functioning of woodworking machines, CNC routers, edge-banders, sanding machines, upholstery equipment, etc. Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules and minimize downtime. Approve machine repairs and new equipment purchases. 5. Inventory & Material Management Monitor raw material usage (wood, boards, hardware, foam, fabric, polish, adhesives). Coordinate with the procurement team to maintain optimal stock levels. Reduce wastage through efficient material planning. 6. Safety & Compliance Enforce safety rules and ensure compliance with labor, environmental, and manufacturing regulations. Conduct safety drills and ensure PPE usage. Maintain statutory records and documentation. 7. Cost & Process Optimization Identify areas to reduce production costs without compromising quality. Improve efficiency using lean manufacturing, 5S, or other productivity techniques. Analyze production data and prepare management reports. 8. Coordination & Communication Liaise with design, sales, procurement, logistics, and senior management. Provide updates on production status, challenges, and resource needs. Support new product development and sample creation when required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
