Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Territory Sales Manager to oversee sales operations across an assigned geographic territory. This role involves extensive travel to appoint and onboard new dealers/distributors, provide comprehensive training and support to the dealer network, drive channel sales, and achieve ambitious revenue targets through effective dealer management. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong relationship-building skills and a proven track record in channel sales within the health, wellness, or consumer durables industry.
Key Responsibilities
Extensively travel within the assigned territory (up to 70-80% of the time) to identify, evaluate, appoint, and onboard new dealers, distributors, and retail partners.
Conduct dealer meetings, product training sessions, and hands-on demonstrations to educate dealers on product features, health benefits, USPs, and sales techniques for water ionizers and hydrogen machines.
Develop and implement territory-specific sales strategies to maximize dealer performance and achieve monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets.
Monitor dealer inventory, sales performance, and market feedback; provide ongoing coaching, motivation, and support to ensure consistent growth.
Resolve dealer issues, handle escalations, and ensure high levels of dealer satisfaction and loyalty.
Collaborate with dealers to plan and execute local promotional activities, demos, events, and marketing initiatives.
Track secondary sales (dealer-to-customer), primary sales (company-to-dealer), and overall territory revenue; prepare accurate sales forecasts and reports.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify new opportunities and recommend improvements.
Work closely with the marketing, telesales, and field sales teams to align channel efforts with lead generation and direct sales.
Maintain detailed records of dealer interactions, performance metrics, and territory activities in the CRM system.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Sales & Marketing, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in channel sales/distributor management, preferably in health & wellness products, consumer durables, water purifiers, medical devices, or similar industries.
Proven track record of building and managing a successful dealer/distributor network and consistently achieving sales targets through channels.
Strong experience in dealer appointment, training, and performance management.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to train and motivate dealer teams effectively.
High energy, self-motivated, and comfortable with extensive travel and field work.
Analytical mindset with proficiency in sales reporting, forecasting, and CRM tools.
Valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively across the territory.
Leadership qualities with the ability to influence and drive results through indirect teams.
