1. Role Overview
The Tender & Technical Manager will lead Sigachi O&M's industrial growth initiatives by driving structured prospecting, building high-value client pipelines, monitoring the GeM portal for O&M opportunities, and preparing end-to-end tender submissions. This role requires strong commercial judgment, excellent communication, and experience working with industrial clients across utilities, ETPs, manufacturing and industrial facility operations.
Key Responsibilities
A. GeM Portal Scouting & Tender and RFP Management
Scan the GeM portal daily for relevant O&M, ETP, utility plant, industrial maintenance, and facility management tenders.
Capture all opportunities in a master tracker and highlight new alerts immediately.
Assist in preparing technical sections, manpower annexures, filled forms, declarations, and supporting documents.
Coordinate with internal teams to gather certificates, registrations, and project summaries.
Assist in uploading documents and checking formatting and compliance before submission.
Scout all relevant O&M-related opportunities on the GeM portal, state procurement portals, and private RFQs.
Lead the complete tender lifecycle including:
o Technical write-ups
o Compliance matrices
o Manpower schedules
o Project experience summaries
o Commercial pricing
o Supporting documentation
Ensure submissions are complete, accurate, and aligned with client requirements.
Build and maintain a tender calendar with all deadlines, pre-bid queries, and submission checkpoints.
Coordinate with the Operations Head to gather technical inputs and prepare realistic cost models.
B. Commercial & Market Intelligence
Create business cases for each opportunity including revenue potential, margin analysis, and resource requirements.
Study competitor pricing and relevant industry benchmarks.
Track expansion of industrial clients (FMCG, pharma, steel, ports, renewables) and upcoming O&M outsourcing opportunities.
Build capability notes and client-specific documents for presentations and discussions.
C. Reporting & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Prepare weekly BD dashboards covering outreach metrics, pipeline status, tender updates, and meeting conversions.
Collaborate with internal teams to prepare proposals, compliance documents, and technical clarifications.
Ensure 100 percent CRM hygiene and structured documentation for audits and internal reviews.
3: Candidate Profile
A. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related Engineering fields.
MBA in Marketing, Operations, or General Management preferred but not mandatory.
B. Work Experience
4 to 7 years in industrial business development, O&M services, facility management, EPC sales, or tender management.
Experience preparing tenders, RFPs, manpower tables, BOQs, commercial proposals, and GeM submissions.
Strong familiarity with CRM tools and outbound platforms such as Apollo.io, HubSpot, Zoho, or similar.
C. Skills Required
