Purpose of Job(but not limited to)



Responsible for Technical promotion and support of speciality chemicals within Convertors Business (high-performance polymers and engineering plastics) to customers in PAN India and expand its customer base with a focus on technical support. Overall driving technical strategy for business Pan India.

Main tasks and responsibilities



Focus on technical support for the needs of customers; while working jointly with customers, product management, account managers, business development and technical teams for the best outcomes, to also support on business development activity along with the team. Providing technical inputs to customers and adding value to their product base to expedite projects. Provide technical support in different forums including visits, meetings, exhibitions or trade shows, etc. with a sense of urgency, e.g., information, advice, solutions to problems to end users but also guiding internal or external stakeholders through a technical solution generating sustainable and meaningful sales opportunities for the Business Unit (BU) Co-ordinating with internal stakeholders to resolve customer complaints. Build and maintain and develop trustful and reliable relationships with all channels, customers and distributors. Provide technical training to the sales team as well as customers & distributors. Develops technical need and appreciation for products at assigned accounts. Provide ongoing support to customers to maintain current business; advises customers on proper selection and application of products; runs sales service projects and provides results in a format which can be used directly at the customer; supports negotiation of specifications with customers and records findings and results for internal communication and filing. Develop and maintain close contacts with customers - technical staff in order to identify technical needs. Understands market trends; provides input on market trends and competitor activities to the business and market intelligence groups. Maintain and monitor clean, standardized and validated product data in systems and coordinates this within the organization to support the business process. This role involves direct management and collaboration with global counter team, and various internal stakeholders, including Sales and Product Managers.

Key Attributes



Previous polymer experience is a must. Experience into Nylon is an added advantage. Strong working knowledge of the above industries from a technical standpoint.. Robust industry network with companies manufacturing polymers. Team player with sound verbal/ written communication skills. Ambitious, self-motivated, results driven and well-organized individual seeking a long-term association with the organization Ability to manage complexity to favorable outcomes. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time. Manage expectations of diverse customers. Essential Qualifications



Full time graduate degree in Chemistry Working knowledge of sales related CRM tools Conversant with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Essential Experience



* 5-10 years of relevant technical experience in polymer working industry
