Providing functional leadership, devising the procurement & sourcing strategies in line with Group guidelines & core values, ensuring excellence in functional deliverables, supporting the GM Supply for cost management & creating value for stakeholders.
The role would be operational purchasing, supplier performance to support product localisation strategies.
Ensuring the material availability for manufacturing and trading business as per the plan & forecast.
Drive the team for continual improvement in functional activities and ensures the risk mitigation plan is in place.
Developing and implementing cost-effective procurement strategies/policies for the purchasing of Direct materials, goods, and services
Managing the supplier base and ensuring the suppliers are aligned towards our minimum standards of Group safety & sustainability requirements.
Collaborating with other functions for smooth operations and ensuring the inclusion commitments are met as per guidelines.
Furnish the required reports to the Senior Management of SXS IN Supply & Group Sourcing manager.
Continuously monitor the supplier performance and do the necessary action plans for improvement initiatives.
Managing & controlling the cost of Direct, Indirect materials & Capex items and supporting the business head/finance partner for making forecasts/reports of expenses
Ensuring statutory compliance and social responsibility in functional activities.
Tracking key metrics and KPIs of the team and planning for development activities for the team
Providing functional leadership for the procurement team
Material availability as per the firm plan and also as per the stocking policy
Supplier identification, evaluation, performance management & development
Cost management of products/materials purchased (including Direct, Indirect, Capex, but not limited to)
Optimum inventory levels & inventory control mechanism
Cost reduction initiatives & reporting in the respective channels
Performance management of reports and development activities
Report Material cost movements & other required data for TM1 reporting / Group reporting
Aligning the function to the Global team's requirement
Functional-level sustainability initiatives and their performance
The role will be Part of the Supply Management Team in India (SMT)

UG Degree in Engineering and preferably in mechanical engineering.
Strong Written & verbal Communication skills

Strong relationship management and decision-making abilities
Good knowledge of materials, understanding of commercial terms and Import-Export procedures.
Good knowledge of MS Office tools
Ability to lead & drive the team for excellence & continual improvement.

Adaptable and Risk management skills
15 to 20 Years of experience in the procurement of materials in an Engineering industry preferably in pump and valve industry.
Experience in procurement of casting is preferable.
Must have led a team of procurement professionals and logistics personnel.
Experience in vendor development activities which includes supplier audit, tool development, but not limited to.
