US Partnership Tax
. This role requires a blend of technical tax knowledge and hands-on experience with tax transformation tools to drive automation, efficiency, and process improvements across tax workflows.
The position involves close collaboration with tax, IT, and transformation teams to analyze requirements, evaluate tools, execute testing, and support implementation. The selected individual will play a key role in shaping the tax technology roadmap and optimizing technology adoption across service lines.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate existing tax processes and systems to propose improvements, standardization, and automation opportunities.
Partner with the Technology team to prototype, enhance, and implement scalable tax technology solutions.
Act as the communication bridge between Tax and IT teams; clearly translate business requirements into functional specifications.
Document current and future-state workflows; build detailed business cases where required.
Create workstream execution plans, track progress, and manage risks and dependencies.
Manage GPS tickets and prepare relevant workpapers.
Lead and support testing cycles, user acceptance, and successful rollout of new technology.
Deliver training and knowledge sessions to tax teams on updated tools and processes.
Participate in strategy discussions with business transformation and tax technology teams.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Computer Science, or related field; MBA preferred.
5+ years of combined experience
including:
Minimum 4 years in tax technology or tax transformation (financial services/real estate preferred).
1-2 years of US tax compliance experience.
Strong understanding of
US Partnership Tax
(Forms 1065, 1120, 1120S, 1040) and complex allocation systems.
Proficiency with major tax technology platforms such as
IPAX, CCH Axcess, GoSystem, ONESOURCE, Alteryx, Power BI
.
Strong documentation skills using Visio, Alteryx, or equivalent tools.
Advanced Excel capabilities.
Proven ability to drive end-to-end technology projects and deliver measurable business impact.
Experience collaborating directly with software development teams.
Preferred Skills
Exposure to Power BI suite, database structures, Bots, RPA, and ETL development.
Experience with dashboarding, data modelling, SharePoint development, VBA, SSIS, SQL.
Prior experience in a CPA/consulting environment.
