Designation : SCM & Sourcing Manager

Job brief :

Unisource is a global trading firm in Pulp, Paper and packaging business based out of Mumbai. With an objective of expanding our Pulp, Paper & packaging business we are looking for a dynamic sourcing manager based out of Mumbai. He needs to have a minimum 7-12 years of sourcing experience in a trading organization related with paper, packaging and other allied industry. A high visibility role, acting as a strong support to the leadership team.

Job Summary:

- Partnering with sales to help and identify the needs for paper & packaging procurement.

- Manage the company\'s day-to-day purchasing activities and procure paper & packaging paper at a competitive cost.

- Ensure that the material procured from the mills meet their performance standard and pro-vide feedback if there is any quality issues.

- Managing inventory to ensure smooth supply of Paper to fulfil the customer requirement.

- Collaborate with inventory control and sales to develop metrics for gauging inventory level needs and then maintaining those levels throughout the year.

- Managing complex negotiations with multiple vendors and mills.

- Developing sound understanding of cost-effective strategies for the products that customer require.

- Building a culture of long-term saving on procurement cost by assessing, evaluating, and analysing the spend and creating alternatives ways of procuring.

- Partnering with businesses and supporting functions to enable them to get the most optimum procurement terms

- Improving the Business Process and Cost Reduction.

- Conducting research and gather market intelligence for procuring the best products in line with the budgets provided by networking with people of paper & packaging industry.

- Responsible for inventory management, dead/ non- moving stock management.

- Influencing and negotiating the contract terms and ensuring compliance to Company\'s Spend & Transaction Policy.

- Tracking and analysing data on spending and saving by improving efficiency and managing audit for procurement function

- Coordination with finance dept. for vendor payments.

- Evaluate and report on KPIs

Required knowledge and experience:

- Should be a graduate with MBA degree in SCM preferred

- 7-12 years relevant experience in Sourcing for a trading organization.

- Ability to establish strong client relationship

- Agility for quick learning

- Ability to handle disputes

- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders

- Should be an effective communicator with excellent leadership and inter-personal skills.

- Should be a good team player and a firm decision maker.
