Job Description

- The Supplier Relationship Management (ESRM), Manager is responsible for managing the relationship with the most critical enterprise strategic suppliers (i.e., BPO). The roles primary activities are to develop additional value and synergy realization as part of the relationships. This includes tracking contracted commitments and new innovations during the multi-year term of the contract.

- The improvements can include cost reductions, customer service goals and technology improvements. In their effort to oversee the proper execution of the required services, the ESRM establishes communication with all responsible parties to drive compliance and ensure that the required levels of quality and service delivery are met.

- The ESRL collaborates with various Allstate teams receiving services from these suppliers and supports the overall health, relationship, issues, and strategic direction of the supplier relationship at a business unit and enterprise level.

Key Responsibilities :

- Manages strategic partnership and holds both suppliers and internal customers accountable for realizing projected relationship value

- Proactively identifies relationship issues and opportunities for supplier or internal remediation

- Identifies key stakeholders in relationship and communicates enterprise level strategy, objectives, and vision of partnership

- Actively strategize and collaborate with cross functional team leaders to align on best practices and areas of improvement in supplier management that align with overall Allstate strategy

- Provides direct input to the development of contract/deal structure for long-term value realization

- Oversees the creation/review of SLAs/KPIs for managed suppliers

- Directly involved with renewals for managed suppliers, including the addition of any necessary contractual elements

- Identifies potential risks and proactively monitors for changes to risk factors through review of risk reporting (e.g., Country, Concentration, Nth party, Financial Health, and Reputational Risk)

- Develops risk mitigation plans with input from Delivery Hubs, Supplier Risk Mgmt Team, and suppliers

- Oversees contractual performance including contracted SLAs, KPIs, and risk metrics

- Leads Internal Business Reviews for the supplier across business units (includes all relevant stakeholders) to assess supplier performance and identify gaps/ drive efficiencies

- Leads meetings with the supplier to review performance areas identified in performance assessments and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)

- Frequently advises others on complex supplier related matters and recommends changes to address issues and opportunities for improvement

Supervisory Responsibilities :

This job is expected to manage a small team of matrix team members with an option for direct reports, depending on the supplier complexity and relationship needs. The job will also require the ability to influence other leaders across both internal and external organizations

Preferred Qualifications:

Education and Experience :

- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required

- At least 15 years experience working in supplier and or supply chain management

- Insurance claims or contact center operations experience preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations :

- PMP (Project Management Professional)

- SRMP (Supplier Relationship Management Professional)

- CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional),

- CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management)

- CTPRP (Certified Third-Party Risk Professional)

Functional Skills:

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence other leaders

- Intermediate to advanced process analysis including business and technology focuses

- Basic to intermediate contract management

- Basic to intermediate finance skills

- Intermediate risk management skills

- Strong analytical and data management skills, ideally proven in a Sourcing and Procurement Services or Operations context

- Advanced Project and program management skills

- Knowledge of Sourcing/Procurement processes

- Knowledge of Allstate offerings

- Experience working in a matrix environment and influencing both upward and cross-functionally

- Excellent interpersonal skills
