The Ideal candidate should have 5-10 years of experience in the lubricant /Chemical industry. To manage all activities related to the receipt, storage, issue, and control of raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, spare parts, and finished goods. Ensure accurate inventory records, timely material availability for production, and compliance with safety and documentation standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Material Management
Oversee receipt and proper storage of all incoming materials.
Ensure identification, tagging, and segregation of materials (RM, PM, consumables, spares).
Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels as per production planning.
Implement FIFO / FEFO systems effectively.
Coordinate with Purchase, Production, and QA for material approvals and rejections.
Inventory Control
Conduct periodic stock verification and reconcile physical vs. system stock.
Maintain real-time stock records in ERP / inventory software.
Monitor slow-moving and obsolete items.
Prepare monthly inventory reports for management.
Dispatch and Logistics
Ensure timely dispatch of finished goods as per sales plan.
Coordinate with transporters for dispatch and documentation.
Maintain records of outward materials (sales, returns, samples).
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain all store records as per company SOP and audit requirements.
Prepare GRNs, MRNs, Issue Slips, Stock Registers, and Dispatch Notes.
Support internal, external, and statutory audits.
Ensure compliance with safety, ISO and environment norms.
Manpower & Operations
Supervise and train store staff and contract labour.
Allocate daily work and monitor productivity.
Ensure housekeeping and safety in the store area.
Coordination & Reporting
Liaise with Purchase, Production, QA/QC, Accounts, and Admin departments.
Provide daily / weekly stock and movement reports to management.
Highlight material shortages or excesses proactively.
Qualifications & Experience:
Graduate / Diploma in Materials Management, Commerce, or related field.
5-10 years of experience in store operations (preferably in chemical / lubricant / manufacturing industry).
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Tally / Excel-based inventory).
Knowledge of ISO procedures, MSDS, and chemical material handling preferred.
