The Manager-Software Development is responsible for promoting and supporting the needed processes, be in control, prioritizes incoming request and responsible for line management of the team as well as external consultants.
What is the job about?
Ensuring the development team work effectively and efficiently
Decides and ensures adherence to the decided development processes and ensure excellence in processes ie Scrum
Constantly work with raising proficiency to increase delivery performance
Coaching the Development Team in self-organization and cross-functionality
May take the role of scrum master or delegate it as a role to an individual
Responsible for hiring, firing and onboarding of new team members, internal hires as well as external capacity
Ensure all individual roles are well defined also for individuals allocated to the team i.e. the PO
Constantly understand performance and output and adjust the team processes
Responsible for the onboarding of new team members
Full responsibility for all software and hardware deliveries for the Connectivity domain
Full overview of roadmaps, projects, plans, intake and output and make development and delivery plans accordingly
Develop plans to Maintain an efficient, productive and harmonious Work environment.
Concretizing and deriving team-specific objectives and goals, aligned with the overarching direction, as well as to monitor the team's performance
Select, lead, guide, evaluate and Develop the team to ensure that The department achieves objectives.
Full accountability for the team's "day-to-day", incl. managing the balancing act between product focus and line mgmt. requirements
Conduct performance evaluations on individual level, as well as decide on promotions, salaries and benefits, etc along with the Senior Manager (Head of Value stream/Platform)
Responsibility for ensuring right level of resources and competences
Responsible for people development (on team as well as individual level
Responsible for employee care (/health) and doing regular check-ins with each individual
Conveying formal top-down communication, as well as bottom-up feedback
Ensuring cyber security in existing software as well as new development.
Your Background
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, with at least 12 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years as a Scrum Master, Manager, or similar role in Project Management and Devops methods
Strong background in Embedded Software development, including Jira or other software development management tool
Should have leadership skills to ensure followership and handle expectation management coaching ability
Should have experience from working in an international company with international mindset and cultural savvy
Must have advanced communication skills to facilitate information exchange and alignment between teams
Understanding of IT / cyber security and the operational impact thereof
Knowledge and understanding of corporate processes and workflows like objectives and goal setting, performance evaluations, communication, etc.
Deep understanding of team dynamics and how teams work.
Broad business understanding and proven ability to work across functions and having good experience working in cross functional teams
Good experience working in an agile setup
Experience working with change management
Should be willing to travel when required
