About the Team
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Engineering manager to join our growing Platform Engineering team. You will play a critical role in building out a world-class platform engineering team who owns development, scaling, and maintaining of our Kubernetes-based platform, enabling our engineering organization to deliver products quickly and reliably. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, own mission critical projects, and contribute to the future foundation of our infrastructure. This role requires a strong technical leader with proven managerial skills, capable of guiding a high-performing Platform team.
This role involves collaborating with teams across multiple locations and time zones. You will need to be excellent at communicating effectively and building strong relationships with colleagues in diverse locations.
About the Role
Responsibilities:Lead, mentor, and grow a reliable and customer-focused Platform Engineering team
Drive a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning
Manage team workload, set clear priorities, and ensure clear and consistent communication across distributed teams
Partner with engineering, product, and other infrastructure teams to align DevOps practices with organizational goals
Hire dedicated and experienced engineers with the right skills and mindset to be successful
Own and improve release management processes to support rapid, safe, and reliable deployments
Oversee incident management, including on-call staffing, rapid triage, and blameless root cause analysis
Champion a team focus on automation, documentation, and use of AI tooling
Stay up to date on Platform Engineering trends and best practices
Support the professional development of every team member
About You
Basic Qualifications8+ years in software engineering with at least 2+ years in people management
7+ years experience as part of DevOps, SRE, or Platform engineering teams
Strong leadership and management skills including experience with hiring, performance management and career development
Other QualificationsExcellent communication skills with a track record of cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder alignment.
Deep understanding of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS), including architecture, cost optimization, and security best practices.
Experience running and maintaining production systems on public cloud platforms
Experience with maintaining a responsive and focused on-call rotation
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
Clear passion for focusing on customer satisfaction and operational excellence
Familiarity with modern monitoring and logging tools, like Prometheus and Grafana
Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g. Terraform)
