Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Manager - SME MEP responsible to successfully plan, manage, execute, complete and handover multiple MEP activities related to electro/mechanical activities, energy efficiency, energy performance, plumbing, firefighting, HVAC and retrofits for the warehouses / logistics parks. The Manager-MEP is expected to lead execution / installation / commissioning and ensure complete of the vendors/contractors for all MEP scope on the project. Minimum Education Requirements: B.E. Electrical or Mechanical Years of experience: 12 - 15 years Indian regulatory codes (IS codes), state regulations and import/export laws Project management and documentation Extensive technical knowledge/experience with respect to MEP component of warehouse design, structural analysis, materials to be used etc. Strong command over ETABS, STAAD, RCDC, SAFE, AutoCAD and other software to accurately analyze design suggestions and project plan Key Responsibilities: Design review, standardization and cost optimization: Review structural calculations, schematic and the GFA design made by the arch firm for MEP package, basis Indian codes and WOLP standards. Review MEP specifications from arch firm as per warehouse location and logistics park requirement. Check design calculations and specifications to reduce cost and optimize design basis requirement and location. Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and Tendering: Timely review and validation of the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) of MEP specifications, for accurate estimation of project costs and quantities of materials required. Collaborate with the contracts team to analyze and evaluate tender documents, ensuring adherence to project specifications and standards. Project planning and execution: Collaborate with PMs and contractors to supervise MEP installation activities at construction sites, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards. Collaborate with the projects team to develop and review the MEP related budgets and schedules. Risk mgmt. & compliances: Ensure all activities, especially MEP implementation, by and for WOLP are in accordance to the Indian standard codes and local or regional regulations. Project planning and execution: Expand technical knowledge by continuous study of new innovation, trends and best industry practices for MEP installation in warehouse industry. Design review, standardization and cost optimization: Study of new innovation, trends and best industry practices for warehouse industries. Understand WOLPs requirements at different warehouses and layout protocol and standards accordingly in the spec handbook Comparison of different logistic clients / developers to prepare standardization and customer offering menu. Risk mgmt. & compliances: Identify safety, cost or quality risks to the project and suggest mitigation strategies. Stakeholder coordination: Participate in project meetings and provide technical inputs to address stakeholders design-related queries. Collaborate with internal and external teams (architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors), to provide techno-commercial inputs and facilitate value engineering Support the Head SME in reviewing all design layouts submitted by arch firm, and in providing technical knowledge and leveraging experience to address challenges related to MEP design, construction, and installation.
