Role Profile:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager to manage the Shared SRE team of Risk Intelligence Services within Markets and Risk Intelligence division. This role is pivotal in ensuring operational continuity across multiple applications by maintaining a pool of fungible, cross-functional team members who can support various services as needed. The successful candidate will be responsible for building team resilience, overseeing day-to-day operations, and ensuring effective resource allocation across support demands.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong business acumen and the ability to collaborate confidently with business stakeholders during critical incidents. They will be expected to take ownership of incident calls, lead them independently until Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) are engaged, and coordinate resolution efforts effectively. Flexibility is essential, as the role requires availability during out-of-office hours, including public holidays, and the ability to manage on-call responsibilities when required.
This position demands excellent self-leadership and prioritization skills, with the ability to drive performance within the team while maintaining a high standard of service. The candidate should be proactive, solutions-focused, and capable of navigating high-pressure situations with professionalism and clarity.

Key Responsibilities
Support of a critical element of the London financial infrastructure.Leadership responsibilities
Manage a pool of fungible Shared SRE resources, ensuring effective allocation across multiple business domains to maintain service continuity and operational resilience.
Oversee and manage BAU support activities for Risk Intelligence Applications.
Management of shifts to ensure 24x5 onsite cover and 24x7 cover with on-call support.
Significant stakeholder management responsibilities with technical teams, business teams.
Own the incident management process and resolution of incidents raised within the SRE Teams.
Responsible for ensuring the team meets targeted metrics and adopts continuous improvement approach to managing the environment.
Provide in-depth analysis in areas such as incident trends, mean time to recover and any other area where improvements need to be identified and remediated.
Ensure that all processes and documentation are adequate and effective to meet support and audit requirements.
Provide daily, weekly and monthly status reporting to the Stakeholders.
To ensure effective, pro-active monitoring and management is in place for systems.
Ensure the regular disaster recovery tests are carried out by the teams and that they meet the required standards/conditions.
Ensure that the team members are adequately trained to support the Technology & Operations infrastructure.
Enhance people and capability build up responsibility.
Service improvements SPOC for business.
Configuring monitoring and logging software (Datadog preferably) on all resources of the application service.
Being available for the activities which are carried out during the weekends / Out of office hours like Releases / DR Exercises/ etc.
Ensure timely review and maintenance of Runbooks and support documentation; proactively follow up with relevant teams to update or obtain missing information.
Out of hours support / On-call support
+ Be available for overnight support of production services to ensure successful completion of processing
+ Respond to overnight calls and deal with issues
+ Support weekend releases and maintenance work
Consultancy
+ Provide consultancy during bug fixes, design and implementation
+ Act as subject matter experts for the application and the relevant business domain
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Education:Degree educated, preferably in a technical discipline
Required skills and experienceExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong understanding of product development lifecycle and methodologies.
Proficiency in incident management and familiarity with ITIL processes.
Good knowledge of AWS Cloud Technologies (EC2, EBS, ECS, EKS, RDS, VPC, Aurora, MSK, ALB, ECR) or Azure Equivalent
Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Good knowledge of DevOps and its related Technologies : CI/CD, Jenkins , Ansible, Kafka
Exposure to XML
Knowledge of Network Diagnostics & Web Servers
Hands-on in version control repository/Deployment (Ideally bitbucket, GitLab, Docker, Terraform, Terragrunt, Flyway, Liquibase)
Experience of using and implementing IT vendor products such as DataDog, Moogsoft, Atlassian tool suite, Salesforce, ServiceNow

Experience of working in an IT support team
Willing to adopt Hybrid working mode and work in Bangalore Office
Good to have ITIL or AWS certification
Experience in Financial or an investment banking environment
Familiarity with financial products and financial terms
Excellent analytical skills, Attention to Detail and problem-solving abilities.
Strong technical background in the core technologies with multiple years of experience.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to IT and business teams and to senior management
Strong negotiation / influencing skills able to overcome resistance and reach consensus and compromise to attain the required objective
