Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced
US Payroll Manager
to lead and manage our payroll operations team. The ideal candidate will have strong end-to-end US payroll process knowledge, exceptional client-handling experience, and proven leadership in managing a team of 10-15 members. This is a critical, onsite-only role that requires a high level of accuracy, ownership, and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities

Payroll Management
Oversee complete end-to-end US payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
Monitor payroll cycles, tax updates, garnishments, deductions, benefits, and adjustments.
Ensure adherence to US federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 8-15 payroll associates.
Conduct regular team reviews, performance discussions, and training sessions.
Allocate work, set expectations, and ensure seamless workflow management across the team.
Client Handling & Communication
Act as the primary point of contact for US clients regarding payroll queries, escalations, and process improvements.
Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and service excellence.
Handle client calls, audits, and compliance queries with professionalism and clarity.
Process Management & Compliance
Ensure payroll processes follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory guidelines.
Identify gaps and implement improvements for accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, Finance, Compliance) for issue resolution.
Required Skills & Experience

7+ years of experience in
US payroll
, with at least 2-3 years in a
managerial role
.
Strong experience handling end-to-end payroll processes.
Proven experience managing a team of
10-15 members
.
Excellent client-handling, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in
night shift
and handle US stakeholders effectively.
Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, tax regulations, and statutory requirements in the US.
