Role Overview



We are looking for a dynamic Purchase & Vendor Development Head to lead our aerospace & medical manufacturing operations with full accountability for Procurement, Sourcing, Outsourcing & Vendor Development. These goals include timely RFPs, successful negotiations, cost accountability, on time delivery of materials, and program / project execution. Experienced Procurement professional may authorise purchase orders, approve payments, manage and respond to client issues to ensure a smooth procurement process and successful operational outcome.

Key Responsibilities:



Supplier Management:

Identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and other factors. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and optimal pricing.

Procurement Process:

Managing the entire procurement process, from identifying material needs to final delivery. This includes creating and managing purchase orders, expediting orders, and resolving issues related to price discrepancies, delayed shipments, or damaged goods.

Negotiation:

Negotiating favourable pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.

Inventory Management:

Monitoring inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock.

Collaboration:

Working closely with internal teams (engineering, quality, production) to understand their procurement needs and ensure alignment with project requirements.

Cost Management:

Identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency in the procurement process.

Documentation:

Maintaining accurate records and generating reports on procurement activities.

Required Skills and Experience:



Technical Knowledge:

Understanding of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and quality standards (AS9100, NADCAP).

Negotiation Skills:

Strong negotiation and communication skills to secure favourable terms with suppliers.

Analytical Skills:

Ability to analyse market trends, supplier performance, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Problem-Solving Skills:

Ability to resolve issues related to material supply, quality, or delivery.

Experience with ERP Systems:

Familiarity with procurement software like SAP or similar systems.

Experience in the Aerospace Industry:

Engineering Graduate with a minimum of 15+ years of relevant experience.

A strong understanding of the specific requirements and regulations of the aerospace industry is crucial.
