Job Title Manager - Security & Safety
Summary
Position Title: Assistant Manager - Safety and Security Reports To : Property Manager Location : VR Nagpur Role Description: o Occupational health and Safety of Employees o Safe and Environmentally Friendly Work Practices o Physical Security Key Responsibilities Physical Security o Develop and implement safety and security operations, policies, procedures, and training to ensure compliance with all University and/or government operations, policies, and procedures o Administer framework necessary to ensure safety and security operations, policies, and procedures; oversee the correction of all issues in the interest of safety, security and risk reduction o Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, risks, vulnerabilities, and threats to safety and security in the development of appropriate safety and security strategy o Oversee the performance of facility, special program, contract, divisional, and all other security personnel o Manage the investigation and correction of all security compliance issues o Lead investigations, audits, and security inspections o Analyze, track and interpret regulatory changes and trends based on broad perspective; identify necessary policy modifications o Provide budget information and assist in forecasting requirements o Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of special programs o Develop sources and maintain liaison with appropriate law enforcement as well as peers in the public and private sector o Prepare and analyze reports for cost saving, forecasting, and planning o Serve on committees and boards related to safety and security o Hire, train, evaluate and lead all security staff and organization personnel with security duties o Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of special programs o Facilitate training programs towards employee safety regarding public safety and other regulatory requirements; revise and improve trainings as necessary o Provide guidance to administration, faculty, staff, and students; contribute to the strategic planning process Safety o Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines o Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety o Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law o Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention o Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations o Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions o Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker's compensation claims o Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures o Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics Qualification & Key Traits o Bachelor's Degree/ Diploma in Fire and safety with Security Experience o Valid qualification in occupational health and safety o Experience in Indian Army will be of advantage o Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines o Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies o Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment o Excellent organizational and motivational skills o Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
