Detailed :


The operations manager will be responsible for the overall school operations and administration of Christel House Learning Centre in Thane.

1. School Operations & Administration.



Oversee all day-to-day operations and administration of the Learning Centre. Ensure smooth coordination between academic and non-academic departments. Work closely with the Principal and Regional Operations Manager - CH India to implement policies, procedures, and systems effectively. Communicate all operating policies and procedures to staff clearly and consistently. Actively participate in developing CH Thane's annual business plan in collaboration with the CEO, Principal, and Regional Operations Manager. Coordinate and collaborate with all department heads to ensure smooth and effective functioning of school operations and activities. Manage and monitor the purchase of school materials and capital items in consultation with the Regional Operations Manager - CH India and Head of Finance.

2. Campus & Facility Management



Conduct daily campus/facility rounds (morning and evening) to ensure cleanliness, safety, and smooth functioning of all facilities. Responsible for maintenance, cleanliness, and upkeep of all school areas -- classrooms, washrooms, corridors, gardens, playgrounds, and admin blocks. Supervise housekeeping and support staff, maintaining attendance and monitoring performance regularly; provide timely feedback and guidance. Responsible to ensure periodical inspection and maintenance of all electrical installations, including UPS units and their batteries, earthing systems, motors, and other electrical equipment, by coordinating with respective service providers for timely cleaning and servicing to avoid major repairs Schedule and oversee major repairs and maintenance work during long school vacations to prevent disruptions of school operations. Organise and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual maintenance plans, including cleaning, deep cleaning, and fogging schedules. Address facility-related issues such as toilet clogging, leakages, or repairs on priority. Responsible for ensuring the purity and safety of drinking water through regular treatment and monthly cleaning of tanks. Responsible for all fire safety compliance, including maintenance of alarms, extinguishers, and fire escape diagrams. Responsible for electrical/school safety audits and follow-up actions are completed annually before 30th November. Responsible for conducting regular inspections to uphold the highest quality assurance standards across the campus. Responsible for maintaining and repairing furniture and fixtures as required. Responsible to identify and engaging skilled parent volunteers for minor maintenance tasks (carpentry, painting, masonry) to optimise costs. Responsible for monitoring and tracking electricity bills and other utilities and informing the concerned department of any variances.

3. Canteen & Nutrition Program Oversight



Responsible for supervising the operations and quality of on-campus Cafeteria / Canteen services for Students and Staff

Responsible for monitoring the cleanliness of the kitchen, washing area, and dining hall. Responsible for ensuring the quality and quantity of food and provisions used by the caterer meet health and nutrition standards.

4. Transportation Management



Responsible for Students & Staff transportation and requirements

Responsible for ensuring safety protocols are followed for school vehicles and transport service providers.

5. Safety, Security & Compliance



Accountable for the safety and security of students, staff, parents, visitors, and all individuals on campus. Responsible to ensure CCTV monitoring, visitor management, and emergency response protocols are effectively implemented. Coordinate regular fire drills and safety awareness sessions for staff and students. Responsible to conduct and complete the annual school safety audit before 30th November, ensuring all safety standards, documentation, and compliance requirements are thoroughly reviewed and updated

6. Government & External Liaison



Responsible for all Government & External Liaison work as stated below Liaise with the Thane Municipal Corporation and relevant government departments including Education Dept. for obtaining permissions, recognitions, approvals, licenses, and certifications. Work with the Thane Municipal Corporation and architect to ensure timely completion of future construction phases at CH Thane. Maintain relationships with local authorities, vendors, and service providers to ensure regulatory and operational compliance.

7. Reporting & Documentation



Prepare and share daily facility round reports with the supervisor. Meet floor in-charges daily to gather feedback on cleanliness, maintenance, and facility-related concerns. Maintain proper records for facility management, maintenance schedules, and audits.

8. Additional Responsibilities



Supervise and guide parent volunteers engaged in campus maintenance or improvement activities. Undertake any other assignments as assigned by the supervisor or management

Skills & Qualifications:



The candidate should possess a Graduate/master's degree in business administration.

Should have excellent communication and technical skills

Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years' experience in the relevant field and be familiar with office/school operations
