The Manager - Quality Assurance will be responsible for ensuring that all animal feed products meet established quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The role involves developing and implementing quality systems, overseeing laboratory testing, ensuring compliance with feed safety regulations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance processes for animal feed production.
Ensure compliance with BIS, FSSAI, and other relevant regulatory standards.
Oversee raw material, in-process, and finished product testing to ensure quality and nutritional accuracy.
Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality documentation.
Conduct regular audits (internal & external) of manufacturing processes and suppliers.
Investigate non-conformance issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with R&D and production teams for process improvements and new product trials.
Train and guide QA/QC teams on testing protocols, feed safety standards, and documentation practices.
Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and ISO standards.
Prepare and present regular quality reports to senior management.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Animal Nutrition, Veterinary Science, Food Technology, Biotechnology, or related field.
8-12 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control, preferably in the animal feed industry.
Strong knowledge of feed formulations, raw material specifications, and nutritional requirements.
Hands-on experience with laboratory testing methods and feed safety systems.
Familiarity with FSSAI, BIS, HACCP, and ISO quality standards.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
