Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced

Manager - Purchase

to oversee our procurement operations in the Defence and Aerospace manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, extensive experience in global sourcing, and proven ability to lead a purchasing team effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the

end-to-end procurement process

, including sourcing, vendor selection, negotiation, and material procurement. Develop and implement

strategic sourcing plans

aligned with production requirements and cost targets. Identify, evaluate, and manage

domestic and international suppliers

to ensure quality, reliability, and cost efficiency. Oversee

import/export procurement

, ensuring compliance with defence and trade regulations. Utilize

ERP systems

for purchase order management, tracking, and reporting. Lead, mentor, and guide the

purchase team

for optimal performance and coordination with internal departments. Conduct

web-based research

to identify new suppliers, raw materials, and technologies. Negotiate

contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules

with suppliers to ensure timely availability of materials. Maintain adherence to

industry standards, quality requirements, and company procurement policies

.

Required Skills & Competencies:

B. Tech in Mechanical or Metallurgy Engineering

(mandatory).

10+ years of experience

in

Defence or Aerospace Manufacturing Procurement

. In-depth knowledge of

engineering materials, components, and production processes

. Proficiency in

ERP systems

(SAP / Oracle / equivalent). Strong

negotiation, analytical, and communication

abilities. Proven

team leadership and vendor management

skills. Experience in

international sourcing

and

global supply chain management

. Excellent

web research skills

for identifying and evaluating new sources of supply.
