About the team:
The programming strategy team is responsible for market research, consumer insights, and programming strategy for the channel. The team is making plans and strategies for the channel, based on various quantitative and qualitative inputs. The team is also responsible for driving channel GRPs and market share using data, competition tracking and analysis. They drive the market data to create a well-balanced schedule of original shows and special programming. This team collaborates closely with programming, Fiction and marketing teams to ensure content aligns with business objectives. By developing strategic content roadmaps and the team plays a critical role in enhancing the channel's viewership, driving audience loyalty, and maintaining a competitive edge in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
Promo Scheduling* Plan promo strategy for launch and sustenance for GEC channel
Create benchmarks for launch campaigns using internal and external research data
Measure performance against benchmarks and refine promo strategy
Maximize promo conversion by identifying optimum spotting timebands & spot levels for launch and sustenance promotions
Movie Scheduling* Schedule movies to ensure optimum GRP delivery for the channel
Schedule Movies for Paid channels of DTH operators, Tata Sky & Dish TV
Build properties/brands for viewers and for sales monetization
Improving Movie Channel Viewership* Quantitative Analysis of viewership of Movie genre in Karnataka
Create quantitative AI tools for improving analysis
Decide on promotion strategy for Colors Kannada Cinema
Create models to emulate channel viewership and work towards movie scheduling automation
Reporting* Share weekly data on GRPs for all movie channels, management of dashboard and other data for analysis
Movie Business SPOC* Colors Kannada Cinema stakeholder communications (Marketing, PRS, Operations, Scheduling & Traffic Sales)
Coordinate with finance & commercial teams for cost and impact updates for movies and shows.
Identify cost-efficient movies (Kannada+ Dubbed) for acquisition for movies library
Identify premieres that can be bought to aid the business
Own S&P process for all movies coming into Network Library.
Skills & Attributes for success:
Very strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Good knowledge of MS-Excel & PowerPoint.
Ability to deliver on tight timelines.
Knowledge of SQL is an added advantage - desirable, not mandatory.
Expertise in Kannada Language.
Self-motivated and self-driven.
Proactive and Learning agility.
Preferred Education & Experience:
Graduation or Post Graduation in any field.
4-8 years' experience in strategic roles.
