Job description
The role involves overseeing the manufacturing process of dry type transformers. The role is pivotal in ensuring that production schedules are met while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:

• Production Planning and Management:

• Develop production schedules and timelines to ensure timely delivery of transformers.
• Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and logistics teams to optimize production flow.
• Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Team Leadership:

• Supervise and manage a team of production staff, including technicians and operators.
• Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
• Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement among production teams.
• Quality Assurance:

• Implement quality control procedures to maintain high product standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues promptly.
• Work closely with quality assurance and engineering teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Resource Management:

• Manage production budgets, including labor, materials, and equipment costs.
• Optimize resource utilization to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement initiatives.
• Health and Safety Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
• Investigate and report any accidents or incidents, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Continuous Improvement:

• Drive initiatives for process optimization and efficiency improvements.
• Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for enhancement.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices to streamline operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in transformer manufacturing or a similar electromechanical manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of production planning, quality assurance, and health/safety standards.
• Proficiency in using manufacturing software and ERP systems.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Desired Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
• Previous experience in implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.

Working Conditions:

• The role typically operates in a manufacturing environment, which may involve exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
• May require occasional travel to suppliers
