Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead end-to-end manufacturing operations at our Chakan facility. The role involves overseeing production planning, shop-floor operations, manpower management, quality, safety, and productivity, while ensuring adherence to cost, delivery, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day production operations to meet output, quality, cost, and delivery targets
Drive production planning, capacity utilization, and manpower deployment
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and process standards
Implement continuous improvement initiatives (productivity, efficiency, waste reduction)
Coordinate with quality, maintenance, logistics, and supply chain teams
Monitor KPIs related to production efficiency, downtime, rejection, and OEE
Lead, mentor, and develop shop-floor and supervisory teams
Support audits, customer visits, and internal process reviews
Desired Candidate Profile
10+ years of experience in automotive / auto-component manufacturing
Strong exposure to general production management in a plant environment
Hands-on experience in shop-floor operations, manpower handling, and production planning
Good understanding of quality systems, safety norms, and manufacturing best practices
Proven people-management and coordination skills
Experience working in high-volume manufacturing environments preferred
