The role is based in Bangalore and reports to the Vice President of the team. The Product Control team supports different businesses across the Standard Chartered Group including Financial Markets, Retail Banking, Corporate Finance and Transaction Banking on a global basis.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain daily, monthly and Quarterly controls for Treasury business. Run day to day processes for the function.
Manage controls around Fund transfer pricing.
Manage Hedge Accounting related controls within the PC Treasury function.
Help design and implement new control processes for businesses that currently do not have any Product Control function.
Monitoring of key controls/ processes around Daily Pnl & Balance Sheet
Ensuring that all controls are followed, completed and reviewed in a timely manner
Liaising with different stakeholders such as IT, Country and Business Finance teams, and Operations, to ensure timely resolution of the issues
Review of Daily/Monthend reconciliations between the various TP systems and the General Ledger.
Run change initiatives for TP booking changes and also actively involved in finance transformation project - Aspire
Assist in the design, testing and implementation of TP data integrity / exception reports
Review of month-end balance sheet substantiation of PC owned balances.
Assist in implementation of sound controls and consistent processes to ensure adherence to IFRS9.
To provide assistance with accurate Classification and Measurement of Financial Instruments as per IFRS 9.
