Manager - Pathology Lab

to oversee the smooth and efficient functioning of the pathology department. The role involves ensuring high standards of diagnostic accuracy, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and effective team management.

Oversee daily laboratory operations ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient diagnostic services.

Ensure proper sample collection, labeling, transport, and storage as per SOP.

Ensure patient identification and consent procedures are strictly followed.

Ensure compliance with NABH/NABL standards, implement quality control measures, and maintain all required documentation, SOPs, manuals, registers, and records.

Supervise, train, and manage laboratory staff including duty rosters and performance.

Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment, calibration, validation, and AMC schedules.

Manage inventory, reagents, and consumables with effective cost and expiry control.

Ensure biosafety, infection control, and biomedical waste management practices.

Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff and hospital departments for smooth patient care and reporting.

Remain available in the hospital or on call beyond regular duty hours as and when required for operational or emergency needs.

Monitor turnaround time (TAT) and implement quality improvement measures.

Prepare reports, support audits, and assist management in planning and budgeting.

Maintain confidentiality, discipline, and ethical standards within the laboratory.

Perform any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Management from time to time in the interest of hospital operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's / Master's degree in Pathology, Medical Laboratory Technology, or related field. Minimum

10 -12

years

of experience in a hospital or diagnostic laboratory, with at least

5-8 years in a supervisory/managerial role

. Strong knowledge of laboratory operations, QC, and accreditation standards. Good leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in laboratory software/LIS and basic computer applications.

Pay: ?30,000.00 - ?40,000.00 per month
