The Hospital Operations Manager oversees the day-to-day administrative, operational, and support functions of the hospital. The role ensures smooth functioning of all non-clinical departments, resource optimization, and compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations to deliver high-quality patient care and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities1. Administrative and Operational Management
Supervise and coordinate all operational departments such as Housekeeping, Security, Front Office, Maintenance, Transport, and Biomedical Engineering.
Ensure seamless coordination between clinical and non-clinical departments for efficient hospital functioning.
Monitor hospital workflow, implement process improvements, and ensure operational efficiency.
Conduct daily hospital rounds to ensure service standards, safety, and cleanliness are maintained.
2. Staff Management
Oversee scheduling, attendance, and performance of support and administrative staff.
Ensure adequate staffing across shifts to meet operational demands.
Conduct regular training and evaluation for front-line and support service teams.
Promote a positive and disciplined work environment.
3. Quality and Compliance
Ensure compliance with NABH, statutory regulations, and hospital policies.
Support quality audits, internal inspections, and corrective actions.
Maintain documentation and reports required for quality management and accreditation.
4. Resource and Facility Management
Oversee hospital assets, equipment utilization, and facility maintenance.
Coordinate with the purchase and accounts teams for procurement and budgeting.
Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules are followed for all utilities and equipment.
5. Patient Service & Experience
Ensure patient comfort, satisfaction, and timely service delivery.
Address and resolve patient complaints promptly and professionally.
Work closely with the front office, billing, and nursing teams to enhance patient experience.
6. Financial & Administrative Control
Monitor operational expenses, reduce wastage, and ensure cost-effective utilization of resources.
Support in budgeting and cost control initiatives.
Approve and track vendor payments and service contracts related to operations.
7. Coordination & Reporting
Liaise with senior management for strategic planning and operational updates.
Prepare and submit periodic reports on hospital operations, manpower, maintenance, and utilities.
Coordinate with HR for recruitment, training, and disciplinary actions as needed.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Hospital Administration / Healthcare Management / Business Administration (mandatory)
Master's degree in Hospital or Healthcare Management preferred
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in hospital operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
