The Manager on Duty (MOD) is responsible for overseeing overall hospital operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth functioning of clinical and non-clinical services, addressing patient and staff concerns, and maintaining hospital policies, safety, and service quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

Monitor day-to-day hospital operations during the shift Coordinate with nursing, medical, housekeeping, security, pharmacy, and support services Ensure adequate staffing and smooth shift handovers

Patient Care & Service Excellence

Address patient and attendant complaints promptly and professionally Ensure patient safety, comfort, and service quality Support emergency and critical situations with quick decision-making

Staff Coordination

Act as point of contact for staff issues during the shift Ensure discipline, attendance, and adherence to hospital protocols Escalate critical issues to senior management when required

Emergency & Incident Management

Handle emergencies, code situations, and medico-legal cases (MLC) Ensure proper documentation and incident reporting Coordinate with security and local authorities if needed

Compliance & Safety

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NABH/JCI guidelines, and statutory requirements Monitor infection control, safety, and risk management practices

Reporting & Documentation

Maintain shift reports, incident logs, and handover notes Report operational issues, patient feedback, and action taken

Skills & Competencies

Strong leadership and coordination skills Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities Quick decision-making and problem-solving skills Knowledge of hospital operations and clinical workflows Ability to work under pressure and in rotating shifts

Qualifications & Experience

BHA/MHA/MBA/MSW 2-5 years of experience in hospital operations or administration MOD or supervisory experience preferred

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?28,000.00 per month
