As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology, you will lead multiple teams, overseeing daily implementation activities. Your role involves identifying and escalating issues while ensuring your team's work aligns with compliance standards, business requirements, and tactical best practices.
Job responsibilities

• Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities
• Sets the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration
• Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements
• Manages stakeholder relationships and the team's work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements
• Creates a culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect for the team members and prioritizes diverse representation

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience. In addition, demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience
• Proven experience leading teams of technologists, with a strong ability to guide, coach, and motivate teams to achieve goals aligned with strategic initiatives.
• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale technology transformation projects involving distributed processing.
• Track record of hiring, developing, and recognizing top talent within technical teams.
• Advanced proficiency and in Java/Python.
• Practical experience working with Spark or similar technologies.
• Experience in cloud technologies, particularly AWS and Databricks.
• Expertise in Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
• Practical cloud native experience
• Experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and expertise in technology disciplines

• Experience working at code level
