Strategically develop and manage carrier relations for ocean services in conjunction with global and local
guidelines and needs.
Negotiate and manage the trades, providing market information and rates negotiation, as well as coaching
sales and operations regarding the ocean product's particularity in each trade.
Ensure timely response to all inquiries.
Duties will involve all trades (import and export)
Support the commercial teams by visiting key customers and supporting sales team in coming up with a
solution
Organize regular business reviews with Carriers.
Coordinate shipment planning and vessel bookings with internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Rate Negotiation & Procurement:
Secure best rates from carriers (FCL/LCL) for global trade lanes, manage rate contracts, and handle spot rate negotiations.
Pricing Strategy:
Develop and implement profitable pricing models for RFQs, tenders, and new business.
Market Analysis:
Monitor market trends, surcharges, capacity, and competitor rates to inform pricing decisions.
Carrier Relations:
Build and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines and partners.
Internal Support:
Assist sales, operations, and customer service teams with pricing queries, quotes, and strategy.
Process & Systems:
Streamline pricing workflows, reduce Turnaround Time (TAT), and improve data accuracy.
Reporting:
Generate reports on pricing, margins, and carrier performance for management.
What You Bring:
Key Skills & Qualifications Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Deep knowledge of ocean freight markets (FCL/LCL).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel for analysis).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
