Group Risk establishes and maintains the risk framework at LSEG, supporting the business in delivering its strategy. Part of the framework includes ensuring that adequate governance arrangements are in place to allow the Group to assess, manage and report its risk profile. This Manager role is within the Non-Financial Risk Team with specific focus on Group Corporate Functions; including Finance, People, Risk, Corporate Secretariat, Corporate Affairs and Marketing and Legal and Compliance. The role requires working with the Finance department to embed this framework.

This role is in the Corporate Functions and Operations Group Risk function. The team is largely based in London but has team members aligned to Operations Centre of (Bangalore, Gdynia and Costa Rica) to support the oversight and risk management activities conducted in the geographical region. This role is based in Bangalore but will cover Global activity related to Corporate Functions.

This role is responsible for supporting the management and reporting of the Non-Financial Risk across the Group and requires close liaison with the business, in particular Risk Champions / Business Control Officers (and equivalent) to ensure the risk management framework is fully embedded and operational. It requires working with other members of Group Risk to ensure that risk assessments are completed, and the risk profile is known for the Group and reporting provided to Senior Management, in a timely manner.

YOU WILL BE EVEN MORE SUCCESSFUL IF YOU HAVE:
  • Experience of working either within a Finance function or have been a business partner to a Finance function (Risk, Compliance or Audit)
  • Experience working on Finance Transformation/Change projects
  • Experience of working in a SOX environment or have a good understanding of Financial Controls
  • Hold a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, AAT, CIMA etc)
TASKS YOU WILL PERFORM:
  • Identify, assess and monitor the non-financial risks within Finance and other Corporate Functions against the risk appetite approved by the Board to deliver on the LSEG strategic plan.
  • Partner with Risk Champions and Business Control Officers to identify their risks through top risk profiling workshops and through bottom-up Risk and Control Assessments (RCAs).
  • Support the preparation of the consolidated risk profile for presentation to senior management, relevant entity boards and risk committees.
  • Oversee and monitor compliance with relevant group policies, including the development of key risk indicators, assurance testing and other metrics to determine the level of compliance with policies throughout the Group.
  • Support in the completion of deep dives / investigations that may arise.
  • Act as a key point of contact for key partners within Corporate Functions on risk matters
  • Supports the development and implementation of projects / change programmes, through effective challenge and oversight
  • Ensures up to date awareness of applicable legislation changes and how it impacts risk profile e.g. UK SoX, ESG Financial Regulations
  • Supervise Corporate Functions owned Issues and Risk Events to ensure adherence to Policy e.g tracking remediations, overdue actions.
  • Assist with conducting risk management training across Corporate Functions
