Lead ideation workshops and develop consumer-centric product concepts.
Convert insights and trends into product briefs and visual designs.
Oversee 3D CAD design, mechanisms, ergonomics, and DFM/DFA.
Ensure compliance with global child-safety standards (EN/ASTM/IS/CPSIA).
Manage prototype builds, tooling trials, and validation tests.
Approve samples, manage ECR/ECO, and ensure timely design freeze.
Own NPD timelines, cost targets, and launch readiness.
Collaborate with Procurement, QA, Supply Chain & Manufacturing.
Coordinate with accredited labs for mechanical, chemical, and usability tests.
Lead and mentor the design/NPD team; maintain CMF & design libraries.
Qualifications
Bachelor's in Mechanical / Product / Industrial Design / Tool Engineering.
Master's in Design or Innovation preferred.
10-15 years' experience in NPD, consumer products, or baby products.
Experience taking multiple SKUs from concept to production.
Strong knowledge of injection moulding, fabric integration & safety testing.
Software proficiency: SolidWorks, KeyShot, Illustrator, and AutoCAD.
