Key Responsibilities

Lead

product ideation and concept development

aligned with brand design language, consumer insights, and market trends. Translate trends and research into

clear product briefs, concepts, and design directions

. Oversee

3D CAD design, mechanism development, ergonomics, and detailing

using SolidWorks / Creo / Fusion 360. Ensure compliance with

child safety standards

(EN, ASTM, IS, CPSIA) and internal design SOPs. Drive

DFM/DFA

with tooling, vendors, and manufacturing teams for scalable production. Manage

prototyping, pilot tooling, validation testing, and first-article approvals

. Coordinate with mould makers, suppliers, QA, and production for fit, finish, and tolerance accuracy. Own

project timelines, cost targets, and launch readiness

for multiple SKUs. Lead

cross-functional collaboration

with Procurement, Supply Chain, QA, Marketing, and Manufacturing. Manage

ECR/ECO change control

and ensure timely design freeze and documentation. Liaise with

certification labs

and ensure products meet global and Indian safety standards. Mentor and develop

design and NPD engineers

, fostering an innovation-driven culture. Build and maintain

design libraries, CMF palettes, and aesthetic guidelines

Requirements / Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in

Mechanical / Industrial / Product Design / Tool Engineering

. Master's in Design or Innovation

preferred

.

10-15 years

of experience in

Product Design & NPD

within consumer products, baby products, plastics, or lifestyle durables. Proven experience taking

multiple products from concept to mass production

. Strong knowledge of

injection moulding, tooling, fabric integration, and safety testing

. Proficiency in

SolidWorks, KeyShot, Illustrator, AutoCAD

(Creo/Fusion 360 added advantage). Strong understanding of

cost-to-design optimization

and manufacturability. Excellent

cross-functional leadership and stakeholder communication

skills. High design sensibility with

engineering practicality and structured problem-solving

mindset.

Pay: ₹83,000.00 - ₹125,000.00 per month
