Role Description

SECTION II: JOB SUMMARY

Seeking an experienced and motivated Software Manager to lead our R&D software team focused on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded systems, control software, and power systems with proven leadership and project management skills. You will drive innovation, oversee software architecture and development, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality solutions for energy storage applications.

Job Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and testing of software for BESS applications including control systems, firmware, and cloud integration.
Manage a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance, performance management, and career development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, electrical, systems, QA, product) to define requirements and drive integrated solutions.
Oversee R&D project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to meet strategic objectives.
Ensure software meets industry standards and compliance (e.g., UL, IEC, IEEE).
Stay updated on emerging technologies in energy storage, IoT, and control systems.
Establish and maintain coding standards, development workflows, and quality assurance protocols.
Contribute to IP generation and documentation of technical innovations.
Interface with external partners, customers, and suppliers when necessary.

Should have knowledge of coding and capability for integrating the Energy system with command centers and have detailed implementation experience

Measurable Deliverables

Able to handle scada /PLC and communication mode troubleshoot of the Products with systems Min have 3-4 Years of Experience
Knowledge of energy management systems (EMS), SCADA, or DERMS integration.
Experience with cybersecurity in industrial systems.
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and edge computing.
