Position Summary:
The Manager - Production, Planning, and Control (PPC) is responsible for managing and optimizing the production planning and scheduling processes to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective manufacturing operations. This role involves close coordination with various departments to align production with demand forecasts, resource availability, and quality standards in a high-paced solar PV manufacturing environment.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Oversee end-to-end production planning and management activities.
Plan and prioritize manufacturing operations to ensure optimal productivity and minimal delays.
Determine manpower, machinery, and raw materials required to meet production targets.
Develop, monitor, and adjust production schedules to accommodate changes and minimize disruptions.
Maintain and analyze records of production output, downtime, and efficiency metrics.
Identify potential delays or bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to ensure timely delivery.
Conduct daily production meetings to review progress and address operational challenges.
Support risk assessment and mitigation related to production planning and execution.
Participate in new product development and process improvement initiatives.
Ensure adherence to product quality standards and customer requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
Monitor and enforce compliance with ISO standards and 5S workplace practices.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong expertise in production and capacity planning, inventory control, and workflow management.
In-depth knowledge of solar PV module manufacturing processes (e.g., Cell, Glass, EVA, EPE, Ribbon, Busbar, Junction Box, Frame).
Proficient in SAP (Production Planning module) and MS Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and manage competing priorities.
Qualifications & Certifications:
B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent discipline.
