Referring cases to reinsurer . Supervision of Underwriting teams . Resolving queries . Assist the Team Leader to analysis data to facilitate identifying trends in underwriting. . Reinstatement of Cases . Re - Underwrite cases B Organizational Relationships Reports to Sr. Manager / AVP Supervises Team Leader C Job Dimensions Geographic Area Covered PAN India Stakeholders Internal Underwriting, New Business, Risk Team, CMO Team, Sales Team, IT Team External Reinsurer and Customer Location Work from Home Should have separate workplace arrangement at home Timing Night Shift (from 8 PM to 5 AM) D Key Result Areas Handling Queries Handling zone Queries with minimum escalations a. this includes a daily 30 mins call with sales b. Queries on tele Call c. Queries on e-mail Team Training Training team on Medical, Financial, Product and system. a. One training every week on any Topic b. Training of branch underwriting team Self-Productivity Achievement of 100 % productivity of daily Target Team Productivity Achievement of 100 % productivity as a Team Branch Underwriters- will be part of team productivity QC / Audit QC Score should not be less than 99.5% It includes score of consultant, Branch Underwriter and Core underwriter Increase in UW Authority Getting higher limits for the Core UW, Branch underwriter and consultant One resource should become protection champ Projects / Task assigned by Sr Project / Task assigned by AVP and above E Competencies Competency For Proficiency Scale Description Underwriting Assessment of proposals and reviewing the profile and analyzing the medical reports to provide underwriting decision. Proficient in Financial underwriting. Should be able to underwrite business insurance Sound knowledge of medical terminologies and should be able to access the manuals to arrive at a suitable decision. Daily targets to be achieved. Should be able to handle sales queries and calls. Work on reinstatement. F Skills Required Technical . Industry & Insurance knowledge. . Good analytical skills. . Knowledge of evaluating various risk factors in Underwriting. . Knowledge of basic medical terminologies. . Efficiency in managing small teams. . Effective presentation skills. .
