Job Description


This position serves as a Project Expediting Manager on large Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, and Construction (EPFC) project. . Create and instigate Project expediting plans, strategies, controls, and schedules . Manage the Project Expediting Teams, and coordinate between work share offices . Conduct periodic visits to suppliers in order to ensure successful execution . Issue, maintain, update, and distribute documents governing the performance and development of Expediting, including, but not limited to, practices, work instructions, procedures . Serve as project member in the formulation of plans and the execution of the overall material management activity and/or assist in the planning and execution of specialized Material Management activities (material control, procurement, expediting, logistics, inspection, or field material management) for the project or office, as applicable . Manage the procurement work process and reports the material management status of purchased material and equipment from the time of purchase through receipt at assigned points of use . Responsible for the implementation, management, and monitoring of the Material Management Work Process with the approved Corporate Reference Tool for Material Management to meet project requirements and schedule . Perform supervisory responsibilities as appropriate . Other duties as assigned Basic Job Requirements . Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and ten (10) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to fourteen (14) years if non-degreed some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements . Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders . Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job . Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines . Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner Preferred Qualifications . Applicable professional certification(s) or license(s) . Experience should be primarily in the area of material management . Excellent interpersonal and communication skills . Excellent computer literacy and skills . Excellent leadership and decision-making skills . Experience in Supply Chain for the Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical Industries . Experience in Supply Chain for the Semiconductor Industry . Experience in Supply Chain for Construction projects for the Food & Beverage Industry .
