We are recruiting for Manager- Master Data Management for Ahmedabad, India.
The selected candidate will be responsible for defining, implementing, and managing the Master Data Management strategy across the organization. This role ensures the accuracy, consistency, and governance of master data across business domains (e.g., Finance and Procurement functions), enabling efficient operations, regulatory compliance, and data-driven decision-making.
Accountabilities:

• Develop and implement a scalable MDM strategy for finance and procurement aligned with enterprise data governance objectives.
• Lead the design and execution of MDM (federated) operating model alongside of transformation projects such as ERP transformation
• Define and enforce data standards, policies, and procedures for master data domains
• Define and oversee the full lifecycle of master data from creation to retirement for finance and procurement functions
• Align MDM goals with broader digital transformation and analytics strategies.
• Establish KPIs to measure the strategic impact of MDM on business performance
• Build and manage a high-performing MDM team within the CDC (Combined Delivery Centre).
• Ensure day-to-day operations of MDM processes are efficient, accurate, and compliant.
• Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts for recurring data quality issues.
• Maintain documentation for MDM processes, data models, and governance standards.
• Act as the primary liaison between business units, IT, and external partners to align MDM practices with business needs.
• Monitor and report on data quality metrics and compliance with governance standards.
• Oversee the implementation and integration of MDM tools and platforms across ERP and legacy systems.
• Oversee the implementation of master data workflows, processes, and controls to optimize data management operations
• Monitor and optimize data workflows, issue resolution processes, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Oversee data quality initiatives, including profiling, cleansing, and enrichment of master data (e.g., vendor, item, tax, customer).
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify data quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years of experience in data management, with at least 5 years in data management, with at least 2 years in a data governance role.
• Proven experience in in influencing and collaborating with senior leadership
• Strong understanding of master data management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong understanding and exposure to data management systems and enterprise solutions
• Experience with data governance and MDM tools and technologies.
