Manager - Legal & Trademark

Qualification- LLB from reputed University like NLU/DU etc with 5 -8 yrs of work experience.

Organisation- A leading INDIAN MNC (Listed) having multiple plants in India & Abroad.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

- 5-8 Years with background in trademark management, drafting & reviewing of contact in corporate legal function

- Knowledge of Trademarks, Corporate Legal Issues, drafting and reviewing Legal Agreements, understanding of business and financial combination. Good understanding of various aspects of business, specifically in manufacturing industry.

Job responsibilities :

CONTRACTING:

- Responsible for drafting all operational contracts specifically supply agreements, distribution agreements, transport/ logistics agreements, services agreements, plant specific agreements, offtake agreements, joint venture agreements, etc.

- Responsible for reviewing the above-mentioned contracts.

- Analyze various business proposals/ transactions in the legal context.

- Candidate should be updates on legal trends with respect to manufacturing and auto industry.

- Quality & timely execution of a legal documents

TRADEMARKS MANAGEMENT:

- Drafting and Serving Cease and Desist Letters and other Demand Letters

- Writing opinions on Legal matters pertaining to Trademarks, Design and Copyrights

- Coordinating with Overseas Associates

- Work with internal expertise and with external law firms on:

a. Conducting Trademark/ Design Research activities including:

i. Registrability Search for trademarks and designs

ii. Infringement Search for trademarks and designs

b. Drafting Statement of Oppositions and Counter statements for Trademark Oppositions

c. Filing Trademark Applications and knowledge of trademark prosecution

d. Managing and filing renewals of Trademarks by taking approvals from the concerned teams internally.

e. Handling Trademark & Design Enforcement Proceedings inside and outside of India

f. Filing Copyright Applications

g. Drafting responses to Objections raised by Trademark Registry, Design office and Copyright Office

h. Managing domain name dispute and associated arbitration

DATA PROTECTION:

- Lead GDPR within the organization on principles of data processing, data subject's rights, data protection by design and by default, maintaining records of processing activities, security of processing, and notification and communication of data breaches.

CTC - Upto 25 LPA (includes 15% variable )
