Job Description


for the post of Manager \xe2\x80\x93 Legal: \xc3\xbc Drafting and vetting of various Sales Promotional Agreements, Leave and License Agreements, Employment Agreements, Services Agreement, Vendor(s) Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Power of Attorneys, Affidavits, Term Sheets, Letter of Indemnity, Reply to Legal Notices, Reply to Complaints, etc. \xc3\xbc Drafting of various Business Promotional Schemes in order to enhance sales of the various tea products of the Company including minutely drafting its Terms and Conditions considering various acts and regulations applicable to the Company. \xc3\xbc To analyze case schedules, meetings, deadlines and follow up with the Advocates for effective hearings at City Civil Courts, Session Courts and High Courts. \xc3\xbc To attend Court hearings including hearings at Trade Mark Registry/Courts and ensure that the Advocates representing the Company are updated on the case facts and details and proper documentation are maintained and provided to the Advocates. \xc3\xbc To guide/assist/follow up with Advocates for Registration of Trademark (National/International) and its timely renewal thereof. \xc3\xbc Reviewing of Evidence in Reply received from Advocates and filing the same with the Trade Mark Registry. \xc3\xbc Reviewing/Vetting Cease & Desist Notice(s) to be issued for Infringement of Trade Mark(s). \xc3\xbc To protect Company\xe2\x80\x99s overall Intellectual Property Rights by initiating and/or defending legal claims at all times in the best interest of the Company. \xc3\xbc To analyze legal claims and litigation and develop strategies for successful outcomes. \xc3\xbc To prepare and maintain MIS report on Litigation matters and forward the same to the Managing Director(s) on monthly basis. \xc3\xbc Handle communication and attend meeting with Internal and external stakeholders and provide advice and assistance to the Management of the Company/Board of Directors. \xc3\xbc Reporting of statutory compliances to Management and preparation of Board Note. \xc3\xbc To monitor the changes in Legal framework and related legislations which may have impact on the business of the Company and to provide case studies and reports thereof. \xc3\xbc To research on subject matters, draft legal opinions, provide insight on any subject which may have a bearing on the business of the Company and to give a presentation for the same. \xc3\xbc Drafting and vetting of Agreements/Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) relating to various departments like Technology, Logistics, Accounts and Finance, Membership, Sales and Marketing etc. \xc3\xbc Drafting and vetting of processes, policies, product notes, circular(s), code of conduct etc and to check and foresee the legal complications and advice accordingly. \xc3\xbc To advice and provide assistance to the group companies with respect to the processes, policies, agreements, etc. \xc3\xbc Resolving and advising on legal queries received from various Departments. \xc3\xbc Reviewing of various legal documents as per the various laws applicable to the Company and advising the Board of Directors on the same. \xc3\xbc To avail various licenses/registrations under Foods Safety and Standards Act, 2006 (FSSAI), Maharashtra Shops & Establishment Act, 2017, Tea Board of India and various other acts. \xc3\xbc Liaising with various Judicial/Non-Juidicial/Quasi Judicial Authorities like Tea Board of India, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, Commissioner of Customs etc. \xc3\xbc Providing Legal Advice to the Board of Directors and Senior Management personnel regarding various legal queries and providing suitable solutions to it. \xc3\xbc Meeting with Senior Advocates, External Lawyers/consultants on various legal matters of the Company. \xc3\xbc Attending Court hearings with Advocates with respect to Cheque bouncing matters under Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 and also to attend legal hearings with Trade Mark related matters on and behalf of Company before Trade Mark Registry under Trade Marks Act, 1999. \xc3\xbc Compilation of various legal papers in order to present legal case before Bombay High Court as and when legal matters arises. Job Type: Full-time Salary: 9500,000.00 - 9600,000.00 per year Schedule:
