Job Description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables


Key Responsibilities:


Litigation Management


Handle civil, criminal, and arbitration matters, including filing and contesting cases. Support credit and commercial teams in recovery of dues from dealers/vendors. Manage legacy cases (e.g., old PDD cases) and initiate appropriate legal actions, co-ordinate with Business and Litigation Team, verify documents, drafts & legal billing. Represent the company before courts and ensure adherence to court requirements in consultation with Group Legal.

Compliance & Governance


Monitor and review compliance dashboards (e.g., Compliance portal) for exceptions and non-compliance actions; implement corrective measures. Ensure timely submission of compliance certificates for board meetings. Collaborate with Group Legal for compliance initiatives and stabilization of compliance systems for domestic and international entities. Proactively report critical non-compliances to senior management.

Compliance Checks & Contract Management


Conduct internal compliance audits for area offices and plants. Ensure implementation of observations from compliance checks. Monitor contract management processes and adherence to legal standards.

Knowledge Management & Legal Awareness


Prepare and conduct "Legal for Non-Legal" sessions for business teams. Disseminate urgent legal updates and KM alerts within defined timelines. Maintain high-quality communication of legal developments to stakeholders.

Business Support & Documentation


Assist in legal documentation for bank guarantees, powers of attorney, and accident matters. Support document retention projects and other group legal initiatives. Provide legal guidance for operational and strategic business decisions

Experience


6-10 years of experience in corporate legal and compliance roles.

Industry Preferred


Qualifications


LLB/LLM from a recognized university.

General Requirements



Strong knowledge of corporate law, compliance frameworks, and litigation processes. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work under tight timelines. Proficiency in legal research and use of compliance tools/portals. Exposure to litigation, Court Procedures, Good Drafting skills, litigation, contracts & compliance management.
