Job Description

Responsibilities & Duties
Fixed Asset Management, Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting

  • Ensure close process, month end review and flux analysis for fixed assets is completed on a timely basis.
  • Managing the monthly reconciliation process to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the financial statements.
  • Completion of fixed assets reporting to Corporate on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Maintenance of the fixed asset register to include monitoring of capital projects and identification of obsolete assets.
  • Partner with the business to ensure capital projects are accurately measured and capitalized on a timely basis.
  • Perform quarterly review of assets for impairment triggers, prepare analysis and record entries as required.
  • Support Finance and Operations providing accurate and timely reports and ad-hoc analysis to aid decision making.
  • Completion of fixed asset disclosures for 10K/10Q.
  • Collaborate with local controllership on statutory accounts disclosures for multiple legal entities.
Auditing and Compliance Monitoring
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors and ensure compliance with relevant local regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with fixed asset related SOX narratives and control documentation.
  • Perform self-testing program to proactively identify and remediate control gaps before audits.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify and implement changes that generate efficiencies and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure existing systems (Oracle, BlackLine) are optimised and identify new technology opportunities.
  • Monitor and report internal KPI's and customer focused SLA's to deliver a best in class fixed assets accounting service
People Leadership and Development
  • Build, develop and lead a highly performing fixed assets team (approximately 6 heads).
  • Set performance objectives aligned to GBS goals.
  • Create a structure that aligns with team responsibilities and ensures appropriate succession planning.
  • Foster a strong reporting and compliance culture through coaching, recognition, and development.
