Job Description

Role Title: Manager - PPC

Educational Qualification: Dip/ BE (Mechanical/ Production), MBA Operations preferred

Department: Operations

Work Experience (No. of years and Industry):

8 to 10 years, Jewelry

Reports to: GM - Operations

Pre-Requisites:



Basic Computer skills and Excel Proficiency

Experience of Jewelry Manufacturing processes and techniques

Conversant with ERP system

Written and Oral Communication

Key Responsibilities:



To create and implement SOP's for production planning and control

To carry out time study (Model and Process) activities and prepare draft production plan for expected Orders as shared by Marketing

To coordinate with Marketing team for orders/ requirements on regular basis

To initiate planning process post Work order creation and return the order to Marketing if it does not fulfill the requirements

To coordinate with respective departments (CAD, Stone, Production, Supply Chain etc) and capture all inputs required for planning

To prepare production plan, raw material procurement plan and dispatch plan and get the same approved from GM Operations

To share the approved production plan with Production and raw material procurement and dispatch plan with Supply Chain

To prepare Overtime plan as per requirement in order to fulfill Customer requirements and share with GM Operations and HR

To ensure dispatch/ customer deliveries as per the plan

To monitor and update all plans on daily basis (plan vs actual) and submit a report to GM Operations & Marketing and take any necessary actions in case of delays/ discrepancies

To track and update job work orders with Vendors and take necessary actions in case of any delays

To initiate monthly Stock inventory process across departments prior to monthly closing

To prepare and submit MIS reports (Sample, Orders, Job work) as per requirements

To update information in ERP on regular basis

To train, motivate and measure Performance of the team

To ensure adherence of all Company level policies and statutory requirements

To support in deployment of people processes like Performance Management, Reward & Recognition, Communication etc

Key Authorities:



Update approved plan if required (as long as it does not impact customer delivery dates)

Recommend Performance rating for the team

Approve leave for the team
